چکیده

ABSTRACT Special corn is cultivated all year conventionally round; however, its productivity increases when grown under a no-tillage system (NTS). This study aimed to evaluate the agronomic performance of sweet and green residues different cover crops NTS implantation stages. Two experiments were carried out in randomized block design, with four replications, each three areas. The consisted evaluating corn, simultaneously, areas at stages development NTS: initial (1 year), transition (7 years), consolidation (19 years) six types crops: Signal grass (SG), Pearl millet (PM), Sunn hemp (SH), mixture SG + SH, PM, PM SH. dry matter (DM) production crops, husked unhusked ears, straw, grain yield evaluated. SH had highest mass among studied phases NTS. phase did not influence ears or without husk corn. cultivation showed better yields compared system.

Cover crops and herbicide timing management on soybean yield under no‐tillage system

The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of cover crops and timing of pre-emergence herbicide applications on soybean yield under no-tillage system. The experiment consisted of four cover crops (Panicum maximum, Urochloa ruziziensis, U. brizantha, and pearl millet) and fallow, in addition to four herbicide timings (30, 20, 10, and 0 days before soybean sowing), under no-tillage sys...

Weed Control Using Conventional Tillage, Reduced Tillage, No-Tillage, and Cover Crops in Organic Soybean

Soybean field experiments were performed to investigate the weed-suppressing effects of different tillage systems and cover crop mulches at two locations in southwest Germany during 2014 and 2015. The influence of three different tillage systems on weed control efficacy, soybean plant density, and crop yield was determined. In the no-till system (NT), two different cover crops, (rye and barley)...

Conservation Tillage Corn and Forage Crops

Several reduced, or conservation tillage (CT) approaches are currently being evaluated in Central Valley forage production systems. In theory, these practices reduce costs and minimize the time needed to go from one crop to the next. Recent single-year trials with dairy forage producers in Stanislaus and Tulare Counties have evaluated the potential of several CT systems and have identified a nu...

Reduced tillage and cover cropping systems for sweet corn in Michigan

Reduced-tillage, cover crop intensive production systems have several important potential benefits for sweet corn growers including: fuel and labor savings; reduced equipment wear and tear; more timely planting under wet conditions; and improvements in soil physical, chemical and biological properties. Since sweet corn is an important rotational crop for many high value vegetables, improvements...

Allometric relationship between some morpho-physiological characteristics of corn under different tillage systems and sowing dates

ABSTRACT- Field experiments were conducted to determine the relationship between plant leaf area as the dependent variable with leaves number, leaf dry weight, and total vegetative components dry weight and plant height as the independent variables. Treatments were two tillage systems (conventional and no-tillage) as main plots, and seven sowing dates (11 May, 18 May, 25 May, 1...
